Former Washington Huskies star Elle Ladine recorded her first professional double-double to secure a 77-65 victory Thursday for AZS AJP Gorzów Wielkopolski over Lattes Montpellier.
Ladine finished with a team-high 16 points and added 11 rebounds with 3 assists in 30 minutes to put the Polish professional team at the top of Group J in the EuroCup 2026-27 group stage.
The 5-foot-11 guard set a new career-high on the glass with her 11 boards and continued to deliver offensively, having put up a personal professional best of 24 points last Wednesday in Gorzów's 79-59 victory over Ensino in the second round of the EuroCup group stage.
In her double-double performance against Lattes Montpellier, a French professional team that opened the group stage with a 96-77 win over Greek team Panseraikos, the former Husky shot 36.8 percent from the floor (7-of-19) and was one of four Gorzów players to knock down a pair of three-pointers in the 12-point win Thursday.
“It was really competitive, super high-energy," Ladine said after the win. "I thought both teams played great defense tonight. We just kept pushing the envelope on defense trying to get into transition and that’s what helped us get the dub today.”
Ladine's 16 points fell just short of Montpellier's rising star Sarah Cisse, who finished with 19 points to lead all scorers, while her 11 boards put her two shy of teammate and veteran center Weronika Telenga. In four seasons at UW, the San Francisco, California native boasted just three double-doubles and four games with 10 or more rebounds, a sign that she's only begun to scratch the surface of what her overall impact could become for Gorzów.
Early in her first season for the top-tier Polish women's team, Ladine has predominantly played more minutes in EuroCup games, averaging 28.5 minutes in the continental competition compared to roughly 22 minutes per game against Basket Liga opponents.
