Portsmouth v Swansea Tue 3 Nov 19:45
First of two tough away matches before another International break.
We’ve consolidated our number two position in the table for now after the Blackburn result and the incentive is to keep on winning to consolidate.
I expect Matos to rotate the team to keep them fresh and I wonder if we’ll see Monga play for the first time. He was about to come on in the Blackburn match but Lissah got a knock and Key came on instead as our fifth substitute.
We will be facing a Portsmouth team in form with just 2 defeats in the last 10 games. Last defeat 6 matches ago, a 1-0 loss at Southampton. Last game a 0-0 draw at Burnley. Last 4 home games they’ve beaten Millwall, Sheff Utd and Cardiff, drawing with Blackburn.
Swans record against Portsmouth is 7 wins, 12 draws, and 9 losses across 28 games since 1920.
Fratton Park is a 388 miles round trip for travelling fans, a big ask in mid-week, but Swansea’s allocation of 1165 tickets is sold out.
