How will Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur fare today? Here is what to know, including kick-off time, TV channels and live stream options

Chelsea produced their most complete performance of the season so far in last weekend’s 2-0 away victory over Everton, the clearest indication yet that things are coming together under new manager Xabi Alonso.

Tottenham Hotspur similarly enter Saturday’s match with a spring in their step following Monday’s 3-1 victory over Coventry City, a result that lifted Roberto De Zerbi’s team off the foot of the Premier League table.

The rivalry between Chelsea and Spurs always matters, but Saturday’s encounter comes at a pivotal time for both teams. The winner would have reason to be optimistic about the rest of the season. The loser, however, would experience a familiar sense of doom.

Here is your complete guide on how to watch today’s Premier League fixture, including kick-off times, broadcast networks and online streaming options.

Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur

Stadium: Stamford Bridge (London)

United Kingdom: Watch on Sky Sports Main Event

What to watch for

By design or otherwise, Alonso may have stumbled into the midfield partnership that points Chelsea in the right direction. Moisés Caicedo and Jordan Henderson have shown signs of a burgeoning understanding in recent matches.

The midfield is where Saturday’s match could be decided. Tottenham’s unit has similarly been a work in progress this season, but Monday’s performance against Coventry hinted that Sandro Tonali is finding his feet with James Maddison’s return to fitness a boost.

Chelsea’s superior attacking quality could give them the advantage, along with this match being at Stamford Bridge. With both rivals, though, it may be a case of which team can keep things tighter at the back, such are Chelsea and Spurs’ defensive vulnerabilities.

Player to watch: João Pedro, Chelsea – The Brazilian has five goals and three assists in six league appearances this season. His movement and all-round attacking threat will make him a focal point for Alonso’s team.
