Michael Carrick update on his future after 'important night'

Hello! Welcome to the latest United news live blog on the MEN

Manchester United have won a football match for the first time in 54 days, and what a way to do it, coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in the Champions League at Old Trafford against Roma. The victory ends their winless run across all competitions at nine games and prevents it from reaching double figures.

Their comeback eases mounting pressure on Michael Carrick to a degree ahead of Sunday's visit of Aston Villa and then the November international break. Bruno Fernandes also defended the head coach's decision to drop him against Bournemouth last night.
