The Danish star retired from football after leaving Celtic in the summer following shoulder surgery, after he won two titles and a League Cup with the Hoops.
He turns 40 at the start of next month and has revealed he is deciding on his next step after being unemployed for the first time in his life.
The 120-times capped keeper said: "My new career will be good, but I want to give myself time for it.
"I have a few ideas that may or may not come to fruition. I can't say much yet, but it's coming. I think Twitch or YouTube could be interesting.
"But I want to do something in football too. I'm taking my coaching courses and I've entered FIFA's executive program, which prepares you to run a football club.
"I'm unemployed now, so there are no guarantees. I have to try to plan, and I'm trying to teach my children that things cost money. Everything in the world has become extremely expensive. Shopping costs a fortune.
"I've been lucky, I've grown up without lacking anything. Money has never been a motivation, and it hasn't changed my life in a big way.
"But money should be respected. If you work hard, you deserve it.
"For me, there are no more shoulder surgeries, so now my rehabilitation is in full swing - the goal is a skiing holiday with the family this winter."
