Penna began the over with a boundary through deep extra cover before adding another four towards fine leg. Ginger’s troubles increased as she bowled a no-ball, which was followed by another boundary from the Strikers batter. Knott was eventually run out in the 18th over after a brilliant knock.

In reply, Laura Wolvaardt led Adelaide’s chase with a well-compiled 75, while Penna provided the late fireworks with 68 off 41 balls.
