Inverness Caledonian Thistle earned a 2-0 win away at Raith Rovers in the Championship.
Alfie Stewart, on loan from Aberdeen, scored a brace in the first half to see Caley Thistle ease clear, and the Highlanders never looked back in Kirkcaldy.
Caley Thistle had the first sight of goal when Liam Sole took aim, forcing Josh Rae into action.
They were soon made to work at the other end though, as former ICT forward George Oakley saw a shot cleared off the line before Ross Munro dealt with the rebound.
The Caley Jags then took the lead in the 14th minute, when Alfie Stewart picked out the back of the net.
Good work from Layton Stewart led to a second of the afternoon for Stewart seven minutes before the break, doubling the visitors’ advantage at Stark’s Park.
Raith Rovers continued to create chances in the second half, with Jai Rowe and Oakley both missing chances.
As the clock ticked down, Kai Montagu saw an effort deflected behind for the visitors, while Stewart missed a chance to claim his hat-trick.
By the time the final whistle was blown, no further breakthroughs could be found, which meant it was Inverness celebrating the victory.
