Jean-Philippe Mateta will miss Crystal Palace's next three Premier League fixtures after losing an appeal against the red card he picked up against Tottenham last time out.
The striker has particularly struggled for form and fitness this season, scoring just one goal in five appearances, despite netting 16 times across 50 appearances in all competitions last term.
Mateta was initially shown a yellow card by referee Michael Oliver, which was later upgraded to a straight red card after a video assistant review, for a late challenge on Micky van de Ven just 13 minutes into the match.
The France forward will now miss Liverpool (H) on 8 November, Coventry City (A) on 21 November and Hull City (H) on 29 November.
However, he will be able to feature in Crystal Palace's Europa League fixtures against Hoffenheim on 5 November and Real Sociedad on 26 November.
