Lochgelly Raceway: Buller wins Hotrods Scottish title at Raceway

The Formula saw two reverse grid heats take place as the drivers battled to secure a good qualifying position for the title race.

William Buller looked electric in the first race roaring away to victory ahead of Alan Gibson and Gary Dean.

Heat 2 again saw Buller come out on top but Gibson put in a good race with him leading for periods. Olivia Kryzanowska had a collision with the wall while working hard but it forced her to retire.

The Scottish Championship grid lined up and it was Buller who wouldn't be phased though and when Gibson went into the lead he forced his way back and kept up the pressure before returning into the lead.

Gibson showed character to keep with Buller though, despite the water falling on the track making traction difficult. He looked like he had gone into the lead once more but Buller kept the head and got to the flag first ahead of Gibson and Russell Clacher.

The National Hotrods took to the track with some really competitive racing, but Barry Stephen was in tremendous form taking a hat-trick of wins in convincing fashion.

The battles behind him were a lot closer though with Gordon Alexander, Cameron Willacy and Craig McLaren all recording runners-up spots and Ian Donaldson getting a hat-trick of third spots.

The Superstox saw some good racing with the bumpers going in as the drivers fought the conditions and each other.

Bryan Forrest was the driver to beat though as he raced to a hat-trick of wins, while Kenny McKenzie showed some determined form in the difficult conditions and he recorded some good returns.

Cameron Doak made his first outing in a Superstox and recorded some encouraging results in very difficult conditions.

The CC Rods took to the track for the penultimate time this season with things going to the wire in the battle for the track championship.

The star graders have had things thwarted in recent weeks with Dylan O'Donnell and Connor St Aubyn sharing the wins between them, but on Saturday Kenny Pitcaithly got into winning form to take the second heat, but it was O'Donnell who took a heat and final double, which will move him up the grades as a result.

The Stock Rods took to the track for the last time this season with Robbie Gold able to show off his gold roof to the home crowd for the first time.

Armit responded with some tremendous form recording a hat-trick of wins, but Aiden McKinnon had a strong night and recorded a couple of podium results.

Scottish champion, Daniel Davidson, didn't have such a good time though but did finish runner-up in the Final.

Congratulations to everyone who won races, and those who occupied the podium during the evening and thanks goes to all the fans who turned out on a very wet evening.
