Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was reportedly rushed to hospital after being involved in a high-speed car crash in Turkey while on loan at Trabzonspor

Manchester United loanee Andre Onana was reportedly rushed to hospital following a terrifying high-speed car crash in Turkey. The goalkeeper, currently on loan at Trabzonspor, had just kept a clean sheet as his side beat Hearts in the Europa League on Thursday night.

However, his evening took a dramatic turn on the way home when he was caught up in a frightening smash that left him requiring medical attention, reports the Express.

According to local reports, another car smashed into the back of Onana's car, causing him to hit the car that was in front of him. Emergancy services raced to the scene on the Yomra road, near Black Sea resort Trabzon.

Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan told local media: “Andre Onana was involved in a road traffic accident earlier this evening. There are no problems with him, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

Images from the scene, that were shared on social media, appeared to show Onana's car with damage to its front wing, and debris spread across the road.
