After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Manchester United are currently in limbo when it comes to their manager situation and the future of the team.
The expectation has been that manager Michael Carrick would be sacked after a horrific season so far, with just 2 wins in 12 games in all competitions and a winless run of eight games currently, following a 4-1 defeat to Como and a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the last week.
But as of Tuesday, the club have instead opted to give him the opportunity to turn things around, and the former midfielder and club captain was taking training as usual, with an eye on preparation for the trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
Should Carrick somehow remain in his position for the next game, speculation will continue about how long he will stay in the role for, and who will eventually replace him.
Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann are considered to be the frontrunners for the job currently, while the likes of Antonio Conte, Unai Emery, Simone Inzaghi, and Fabian Hurzeler have all been linked with the post too, though Hurzeler does not want the Man Utd job.
There are several question marks over every candidate currently, and there are hurdles to overcome for each appointment if the board decides to go in any specific direction. But weirdly, there has been zero talk about the man who has been linked with the role in the past, and would be considered a perfect replacement - Thomas Tuchel.
Did it happen before or after?
Round 1 of 9
Tuchel was strongly considered for the manager's job to replace Erik Ten Hag, and was also considered as a candidate for the permanent role before Carrick was handed a two-year deal following his interim spell in charge.
The German signed a new contract with the England national team instead, tying him to the 2030 World Cup, and his performance in this summer's tournament saw many happy with that decision. But there were also a number of calls for his sacking after the semi-final defeat to Argentina, and the manner in which they were eliminated.
Since then, England have turned in some strong performances in the Nations League, which has seen him earn more favour with the fans, but Man Utd should be going hard to convince him of a return to the Premier League and club football.
It's clear that Man Utd need someone in the dugout who has authority and respect, and has also done it at the very highest level. Tuchel ticks all those boxes, and he has the tactical nous and flexibility to really help get the club back to where they want to be.
Howe and Nagelsmann tick some of those boxes, but there is no doubting that Tuchel is a better manager than both right now, and he has the Premier League and Champions League experience to prove it.
Tuchel was tempted by the job in the past, and is someone that INEOS have already interviewed and been impressed by. The club should be moving heaven and Earth to get him in to Old Trafford if there is any inkling of opportunity, because he is the perfect replacement for Carrick.
United would instantly have the best manager in the league in their dugout, and the players would know that they have a serious and decorated boss running things. He would be the best possible option to come in, and if INEOS are serious about their 'best in class' monicre, then they will do everything they can to make it happen.
