'No one is safe' warning over Ebola outbreak

Werrington-based P.T.K.A Kickboxing instructor, Jack Turner (19), fought through his categories and opponents while representing Team England at the 2026 ICO Martial Arts World Championships in Thonon-les-Bains, France, 15th-18th October, to earn a Silver medal in Black Belt Team Kumite and a Bronze medal in Black Belt Kumite.

Phil Turner, Chief Instructor at P.T.K.A Kilcboxing and Jack’s father, had nothing but praise for the Peterborough teenager: “Jack has been training for this since he learned to walk and the honour of representing his country and fighting - and achieving podium positions! - at a World Championships abroad was well-earned. I’m a proud coach and a proud dad!”

Jack can be found teaching alongside his dad at P.T.K.A Kickboxing, running classes on Friday evenings out of Loxley Community Centre, Werrington. Check them out at www.ptkakickboxing.com or on Facebook/PTKAKickboxing.
