Angus James and Cameron Miller travelled to Washington DC for the WKA World Kickboxing Championships.
The duo, who are based out of Robertsons Martial Arts and Fitness in Dunbar, were joined by former world champion Brad Robertson, who is also the head coach of the Scottish national team.
Miller returned with gold in the 76kg K1, 86kg K1, 76kg Full Contact and 76kg Unified, while James brought home gold in 63kg Muay Thai and 63kg K1, as well as silver in 63kg Unified.
Speaking before the trip to the USA, Robertson tried to explain what it meant to be crowned a world champion, having previously been a three-time Taekwon-do champion and kickboxing champion.

The 31-year-old said: “You cannot even put it into words.
“I started when I was four and you are coming through tournaments and seeing all these people at the top level.
“You want to be them, want to be at that level, and actually becoming world champion – it is indescribable.”
Ahead of the trip, Robertson told Courier Sport that there was a “very, very high possibility” of the duo returning home as newly crowned world champions at the 50th anniversary championships.
That came despite sizeable teams from the host nation and Canada, as well as fighters from countries ranging from Mexico, Brazil and Ecuador to throughout Europe, Asia and Africa.
Robertson, who opened Robertsons Martial Arts and Fitness in 2014, outlined what it was like watching from the sidelines compared to stepping into the ring.
He said: “I would argue it is better.
“It is different as a coach.
“I always say to my fighters that there is really only one person in there with the fighters who knows what they are going through and it is the coach.
“Families see the weight cuts and stuff but the only person there for every session, with them for a win or a loss and with the emotions just as high, is the coach.
“That feeling of success, I know what they have put into it.
“I have very high standards that I set to give them opportunities.
“When they get their hand lifted, that is the easy bit, but I know the years and years of sacrifice that they have put in.”
