There was at least some good news from a rather gloomy Milanello this afternoon as Goncalo Ramos returned to full training.
On the eve of the game against AFC Bournemouth, news filtered out from the training session that Ramos had left it early because he had discomfort in his calf. While Ruben Amorim downplayed the severity of the issue, there were fears that a lengthy absence could be on the cards.
After a disappointing night in England – with Mike Maignan’s silly sending in the 3-0 defeat – there was some good news from today’s training session at Milanello.
MilanNews are reporting that that Gonçalo Ramos – who missed the Europa League away match due to an overloaded left calf – trained with the team and will be available for Sunday’s match against Udinese.
The Portuguese had felt a stiffening during Wednesday’s final training session and underwent the usual instrumental tests, which revealed no injuries.
Given that Alphadjo Cisse had a joyless night leading the line against the Premier League side, one would imagine that the Portuguese No.9 will be straight back into the starting line-up. There is not too much time to prepare for Sunday’s game, with further team news expected later today.
