BATON ROUGE – There has been some murmurs about LSU football star linebacker Whit Weeks and his status for this week's showdown with Alabama.
Since fracturing his right fibula during the Texas A&M game back on Sept. 26 and undergoing subsequent surgery for the injury, Weeks has not played for the Tigers in a little over a month.
When No. 15 LSU (6-2, 3-2 SEC) takes the field to face rival No. 9 Alabama (6-2, 4-2) inside Tiger Stadium Saturday, Nov. 7, Lane Kiffin's team could still be without Weeks as he was listed as "doubtful" on the team's first injury report of the week, released Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Initial reports following Weeks' injury and surgery was that the Alabama game could be a target date for his return to the field.
Weeks' younger brother and fellow linebacker, Zach, is listed as questionable for LSU as the only new name on the team's injury report.
Safety Dashawn Spears, wide receiver Phillip Wright III, linebacker Charles Ross II and freshman defensive tackle Richard Anderson are all out for the game against Alabama.
