The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns have been embroiled in a heated buildup to their Week 8 showdown. With less than 48 hours until kickoff, it still hasn't stopped, as Browns safety Grant Delpit attempted to bash the Steelers in another way.
Speaking with reporters on Friday, Delpit took aim at the Steelers' playing surface at Acrisure Stadium, blasting Pittsburgh for having a terrible field that "sucks".
"You gotta look to the beach and practice on the sand," Delpit said via NFL reporter Andrew Sicilliano.
The playing surface at Acrisure Stadium has been heavily criticized in recent years, with conditions so bad that it eventually led to players from the Steelers and Browns expressing concerns to the NFLPA back in 2025.
Delpit's comments fall short of the mark in 2026, however, as the Steelers upgraded their playing surface to Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass. So far, results have been overwhelmingly positive, but there's still a lot of season to be played and field to be shared with the University of Pittsburgh Panthers football team.
