Former India captain Rohit Sharma playfully turned the tables on journalists during a recent media interaction in New Zealand. The veteran opener invited the reporters to appear on his newly launched television game show, Family Full House with Rohit Sharma, where he joked about putting them in the hot seat.

The Indian men's team has begun preparations for its five-match ODI series against New Zealand, which will be played from November 4 to 15. The veteran opener and Virat Kohli remain key figures in India's 50-over plans, with the team looking to adapt to challenging conditions during the tour.

'Sabko Bulao Ek Din': Rohit Sharma Invites Journalists on His Show

The lighthearted exchange took place when a reporter complimented the former captain on his television hosting debut, saying, "Show mast chal raha hai" (The show is going great). He immediately responded with his trademark humour and invited the journalists to join him on the sets.

"Sabko bulao ek din, tum log ko samne rakhunga aur mein sawaal poochhunga" (Bring everyone along one day, I will seat all of you in front of me and ask the questions this time), the opener replied. The exchange quickly gained attention on social media platforms, including X and Instagram.

Family Full House with Rohit Sharma is the Indian adaptation of the popular American game show Family Feud. The series is the cricketer's television hosting debut. Notably, the weekly show premiered on September 19.

Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan Join Rohit Sharma on Family Full House

Several well-known cricket personalities have appeared on the show. Shreyas Iyer led the team named "Mumbai Punters" alongside Shardul Thakur in the premiere episode. During the interaction, the host jokingly said he would have to keep Iyer happy if the batter wanted a T20 comeback in the future.

Shikhar Dhawan reunited with his former opening partner in the third episode. The former India opener, popularly known as "Gabbar", appeared alongside the former captain, nicknamed "Hitman", bringing back memories of their successful partnership at the top of the order.

The 13th episode, which aired on October 31, featured stars from the Box Cricket League. Players representing Team Bahubali and Team Ali competed in a cricket-themed contest.

Rohit Sharma Features in Both Squads for India's Five-Match New Zealand ODI Series

The ODI series begins at Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday, November 4, before moving to Wellington for the second match on November 7. Hamilton will host the third ODI on November 10, while Mount Maunganui will stage the final two matches. The series will conclude on November 15.

The opener has been included in both split squads, while most members of the Test squad will leave early to prepare for the upcoming two-match series. Shubman Gill will lead the team in the first three ODIs before Shreyas Iyer takes over as captain for the final two matches.

The veteran opener comes into the series after an impressive run against the West Indies. He finished as India's leading run-scorer in the three-match ODI series, scoring 225 runs in three innings at an average of 75.00 and a strike rate of 115.38.

He also has considerable experience playing ODIs in New Zealand, where he has scored 437 runs in 13 innings at an average of 36.41 and a strike rate of 72.95, including four half-centuries. His highest score was 87 at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui during the 2019 tour.
