Derby County are back in action tomorrow as they face Sheffield United in their next Championship assignment.

After losing to Stoke City at the weekend, Derby travel to Bramall Lane seeking a win that would give everybody a much-needed lift.

Chris Wilder's United have had a solid start to the season and currently sit 11th in the table, and beat Bristol City 1-0 at the weekend.

Derby are nursing a considerable injury list; 11 players are currently on the sidelines, with the defence severely impacted.

Here is your rundown on injuries affecting both clubs this weekend.

DERBY COUNTY

Lewis Travis

The skipper had to come off in the second half of the defeat to Stoke City after appearing to roll his ankle when committing to a tackle, which ended up being the free-kick that led to Luke Graham's goal.

The captain did not look comfortable when he came off and Eustace issued an update yesterday and said he would be without his skipper until after the next international break.

"Trav's going to be out until after the next international break," he said.

"That's obviously a big blow to us over the next four games. It's a different injury from the one that kept him out before. He went in for a tackle, and he's just gone over on his ankle, unfortunately."

Alex Mowatt

The former West Brom midfielder was absent from the squad as Derby lost to Stoke at the weekend after suffering a blow to his foot in the defeat to QPR last week.

The injury is only minor but his availability for this weekend remains in doubt as he had stitches.

Eustace said it would be touch and go as to whether he makes the game at Bramall Lane.

Sondre Langas

The central defender suffered an injury against QPR last Wednesday and had to come off after just 10 minutes.

He was subsequently sent for scans on Thursday and later underwent an operation on his groin which was a huge blow to Derby.

The Norway international is out for three months and will not be back until January.

"It is a serious injury," said Eustace. "He's going to be, unfortunately, out for roughly 12 or 13 weeks. It's a big blow for us, of course, but it's where we are at the moment.

"When we're in trouble, this is where the Derby County family has got to stick together and not look for any excuses. Understand that we're in a difficult spot, but that we'll come through it."

Max Johnston

The right-back was not involved in the weekend's defeat to Stoke, having missed the previous weekend's draw with Wrexham at Pride Park. He picked up a knock in training two weeks ago.

He has been pictured training and should not be far from a return, and could possibly be in contention to face Sheffield United this weekend.

Charlie Taylor

The left-back has added to Derby's list of problems after coming off with a hamstring problem in the draw at Burnley before the international break. The injury did not look good at the time, but Eustace said that he will only be missing for a matter of weeks rather than months.

"It's a bit of a bad one on his hamstring," he said.

"Obviously, we brought Charlie to the club as that experienced left-back and probably weren't expecting to play as many games as he has done in a short period of time. Unfortunately, it's just caught up with him."

Eiran Cashin

The on-loan Brighton defender picked up a calf problem and has been ruled out for eight weeks, but that was before the international break.

He will be missing at the weekend, but he looks to set to be out for another month or so before he is back playing again.

Jacob Widell Zetterstrom

The club's number one goalkeeper has been pictured back in training having picked up a knee injury prior to the game against Burnley.

The timing of the injury meant Zetterstrom was unable to go on international duty with Sweden, which would have seen him continue to stake his claim as Graham Potter's first-choice stopper after his impressive World Cup.

Derry Murkin

The former Utrecht left-back will not be available again until Christmas after suffering a serious hamstring injury that he picked up in a warm-up of an under-21s game.

He had initially been on the verge of a return from a back problem when he suffered the latest setback. He required surgery and was subsequently left off the EFL squad list. He hopes to be back on it in the New Year.

Craig Forsyth

The long-serving defender suffered a knee injury in a 2-0 win at Portsmouth, although he is expected to make a return this side of Christmas. He had been in a protective boot but had to undergo surgery.

Whether he will be ready in time for the Christmas period remains to be seen, but he was included on the Derby squad list with the EFL, which suggests he will be back before the turn of the year.

Matt Clarke

The reigning player of the season has been sorely missed in the heart of the Derby defence, having only played 45 minutes against Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup. He then had to come off with a calf problem, and he was subsequently ruled out for three months.

The good news is that he is expected back next month which would be most welcome for Derby, who have missed his experience and leadership in the back four.

Patrick Agyemang

Derby posted an update that Agyemang had joined the team for their warm-up prior to training on Monday, but he has yet to return with the group ahead of his expected return next month.

That is a major boost for Derby, given he has been badly missed having ruptured his Achilles in a win over Stoke City back in April.

The American international's progress has been going well, and his return next month will be a major boost for Eustace after he scored 10 goals in his debut Championship season following his move from Charlotte FC last summer.

SHEFFIELD UNITED

Matt Doherty

The former Wolves and Tottenham man had to have an injection in his knee recently which caused him to miss the Bristol City game last weekend.

The 34-year-old will be out of action for the next three to four weeks so will be unavailable this weekend.

Jamie Shackleton

The midfielder continues to struggle with injuries and has hit another setback which has ruled him out of this weekend.

He was unavailable for the Bristol City game last weekend and he is not expected to be back this weekend.

"He's had a difficult period," Wilder said last week.

"I've been vocal regarding players in the past and they don't want to be injured, but he keeps picking up some bits and pieces and he's more frustrated than anybody that at the moment he can't contribute regularly.

"He had a little spell where he got himself onto the pitch, but we're working with him and the medical team to get him back available."
