Fans online believe Kylian Mbappe has confirmed he has won the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
Real Madrid star Mbappe is firmly in the running to win the sport's most prestigious individual award for the first time, and is now Harry Kane's biggest rival to win at tonight's London ceremony.
Mbappe was a distant third in the betting last week, but his odds have shortened from 16/1 into as short as 2/1 in the hours ahead of the ceremony.
What only recently appeared highly unlikely, now looks a real possibility, and eagle-eyes fans on social media believe Mbappe has let slip that he has won the Ballon d'Or.
Mbappe was the star of the show on Sunday night with two goals to see off rivals Barcelona in the first Clasico of the season.

TV coverage, courtesy of DAZN, captured Mbappe talking to close friend Redouane Bougheraba after the game, who some fans believe asks the France star: "Tomorrow you’ve got it?”
Mbappe is then seen with a huge grin and nodding in reply.
Footage of the exchange has gone viral on X, which also prompted some rebuttals.
Fans believe what is actually said by Bougheraba is: "Tomorrow, you will be there?"
Another interpretation is Mbappe replying with "tomorrow, I will be there", having been asked about the ceremony.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday morning that Mbappe will travel to London today for the Ballon d'Or ceremony, and will be joined by favourite Kane and third-favourite Yamal.
Mbappe's decision to travel is also been considered as a possible sign he has won, after Real Madrid decided to withdraw their attendance entirely in 2024 when Vinicius Jr learned he would not win the award ahead of Rodri.
