As they grace our screens for another season of football, people can't help but wonder how much some of the biggest NFL stars are actually earning on the pitch

The list may surprise you

For six years the same quarterback has been the highest earner amongst all those across the NFL, earning $450million over 10 seasons.

And yet, after winning three Super Bowls and two regular-season MVP Awards there are other players far less accomplished the Patrick Mahomes who are quickly catching up with him.

Mahomes currently sits a good few million dollars ahead of the player in second place, but all in all, this year’s 10 highest-paid players are set to collect an estimated $598million before taxes and agent fees. This total is 5% higher than their combined earnings last year.

Although one thing is clear in this lineup, there's only one position that is paying as well as it does in this ball game, with all 10 players quarterbacks.

Despite this, an 8% increase in the salary cap to $301 million has led to contract records across the entire league, with 13 other positions establishing new higher marks in 2026.

Outside of his work on the pitch, Mahomes has an impressive portfolio of partners from Adidas to State Farm and Hublot, which allegedly supplied the $362,000 watch he wore to the Kelce Swift wedding.
