“Someone is trying to duck me; it’s Justin Gaethje,” the No. 2-ranked contender told Helen Yee. “Now he’s talking about retirement. Either UFC is going to pay him so much money that he’s going to fight, or he’s just going to retire. They told me they’re going to let me know at the end of November. I would fight [Volkanovski]. It’s only a perfect fight if Ilia Topuria is unable to make his Godly comeback before first quarter of 2027, since “El Matador” — who dropped his title (and his 0) to Gaethje at UFC White House — is ranked higher than Tsarukyan in the official lightweight rankings and already holds a victory over Volkanovski.
Maybe the real fight to make is this rematch, putting Arman back in the doghouse.
