Man Utd boss Michael Carrick may well be a dead man walking heading into the game against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
There is every chance that the Red Devils have already made a decision to sack him, and the result this weekend may have no bearing on his future.
Carrick will, though, be in the dugout for the match, and his focus is on getting the three points to end a run of seven games without a win.
Press the next page as we share our Man Utd predicted lineup to play Bournemouth at Old Trafford…
RB – Diogo Dalot – the defender performed poorly against Como, but he will probably keep his place due to a lack of other options.
CB – Leny Yoro – the Frenchman will return from his European suspension, and he should start in the centre of defence if Lisandro Martinez is still unavailable.
CB – Harry Maguire – Matthijs de Ligt won’t start for a second time in four days, so Maguire is the one who may retain his starting spot.
LB – Noussair Mazraoui – Luke Shaw remains sidelined, and the lack of depth at left-back means the Moroccan may have to provide cover once again, despite struggling in Como.
CM – Carlos Baleba – the 22-year-old was well below the required level after being introduced at halftime against Como, but Kobbie Mainoo’s absence means Carrick doesn’t have a wealth of alternatives.
Neither Youri Tielemans nor Mason Mount are comfortable playing in deeper-lying midfield positions, and Carrick needs Baleba’s legs to cover ground.
AM – Bruno Fernandes – it would generate plenty of headlines if the captain is dropped after his comments midweek, but we can’t see Carrick doing it.
ST – Bryan Mbeumo – the 27-year-old looked isolated on the right on Wednesday night, so Carrick may decide to restore him to the centre-forward position where he has had more joy.
LW – Matheus Cunha – the Brazilian was part of a front three that caused a lot of damage in the second half of last season under Carrick.
Considering the issues the manager is facing, he may revert to something familiar that has worked for him in the past.
