Derby County will be without Lewis Travis until after the next international break as John Eustace admitted Alex Mowatt will be "touch and go" for the weekend's trip to Sheffield United.
Derby skipper Travis injured his ankle in last weekend's defeat to Stoke City when he conceded a foul that led to Luke Graham's winner. Travis attempted to play on before he was replaced and has since been sent for a scan to determine the severity of the injury.
That will now keep him out until next month and it follows an injury to Mowatt who was absent from the game against the Potters after cutting his foot against QPR. He has had stitches and is now in a race against time to be fit for the weekend's trip to Bramall Lane, where Derby are desperately searching for only their second win of the season.
Speaking ahead of the clash against the Blades, Eustace said: "Trav's going to be out until after the next international break.
"That's obviously a big blow to us over the next four games.
"It's a different injury from the one that kept him out before. He went in for a tackle, and he's just gone over on his ankle, unfortunately. Alex will be touch-and-go for the weekend. He hasn't really trained yet, so we'll have to wait and see with him.
"He had a bad cut to the foot, and he's had stitches in that, so we'll see on that."

Travis' injury means Derby could be without 11 players for the clash against Chris Wilder's side unless Mowatt is available for Saturday. Jack Robinson has been drafted in as a free agent to help ease the crisis in defence but the former Birmingham City man has not played a competitive game since last season.
Asked whether he could be involved to face his former club, which he helped into the Premier League, Eustace said: "He has taken part in a couple of exercises, but he hasn't taken part in the whole session yet.
"He's done a couple of little bits. Obviously, Jack did a pre-season at Birmingham, and he hasn't done anything really apart from a few jogs throughout the last eight or nine weeks, whatever it is.
"It won't take him too long to get up to speed. He's a very experienced pro. He's still kept himself in good shape, so let's wait and see."
