WWE NXT star Wren Sinclair has opened up about her professional wrestling journey. She revealed being told she was too old for WWE. Before signing, she was even advised to look elsewhere.
Sinclair finally signed with WWE in 2023. However, her journey toward the company wasn’t always easy. She faced injuries and doubts throughout her wrestling career.
Speaking to TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Wren Sinclair was asked whether she would still wrestle today. The question focused on what might have happened without WWE. Sinclair initially joked about imagining that alternate timeline. She then opened up about her love for wrestling.
She said, “Let’s just not say I didn’t get signed. No, I’m kidding. Yeah. So I think wrestling holds a really special place in my heart, and I definitely think there were times, injuries, where you question whether or not it’s worth it. there were times in the process where I actually heard, like that I’m too old for WWE, and to, like, look elsewhere and whatnot.”
Sinclair explained that wrestling sometimes made her question everything. Despite those difficult moments, her passion never completely disappeared. “And I think at the end of the day, I’m not sure because I think I love this so much that it hurts sometimes when it doesn’t love you back. I’m a big proponent of mental health.”
“So, depending on the journey that happened after said not being signed, I’m not sure. But I’m glad that I’m here, and I’m going to hold on to this, and I’m just never going to let them fire me.”
WWE eventually signed Sinclair in 2023, giving her another opportunity. Now, she is preparing for the biggest match of her career. Sinclair will challenge Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship scheduled for NXT Halloween Havoc.
