Ben White And Eberechi Eze To Start; Declan Rice On The Bench: Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs Slavia Prague
Ben White And Eberechi Eze To Start; Declan Rice On The Bench: Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs Slavia Prague

Arsenal are expected to ring the changes for their Champions League fixture against Slavia Prague on Wednesday evening.

There is a pretty short turnaround between the game in Czechia and the Hull City fixture this weekend, especially with travel involved, so manager Mikel Arteta will need to use his full squad.

Slavia Prague have also not had a great European campaign so far, drawing one and losing two of their 3 group games, and that would suggest it’s the right time to rotate.

Press the next page as we share our Arsenal predicted lineup for the match…

Goalkeeper and Defence

David Raya

GK – David Raya – the Spaniard has two clean sheets in 3 Champions League fixtures this season.

RB – Ben White – Arteta is swapping between the 29-year-old and Jurrien Timber with regularity, so we’d expect the former to come back into the team.

CB – Cristhian Mosquera – the centre-back needs more minutes, with the defeat to Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup his only match since August. Ezri Konsa could be rested.

CB – Gabriel – the Brazilian is likely to stay in the side. Every European away fixture has its pitfalls, so his experience will be invaluable.

LB – Piero Hincapie – Riccardo Calafiori has only just come back from a knock, so the Ecuadorian will likely get the nod to start.

Midfield

Myles Lewis-Skelly

CM – Bruno Guimaraes – the midfielder came off midway through the second half at Anfield on Sunday, which may point towards him starting this fixture.

CM – Myles Lewis-Skelly – the 20-year-old seems a dead cert to start, having been left on the bench at the weekend.

AM – Martin Odegaard – the captain usually excels on these types of occasions. Slavia Prague are playing at home, so they will try to attack.

That means there should be plenty of space for Odegaard to cause problems.

Forward

Viktor Gyokeres

RW – Noni Madueke – Bukayo Saka’s continued injury absence means the winger will keep his place on the right flank.

ST – Viktor Gyokeres – the Swede has not scored in his first three appearances in the Champions League this season.

However, Gyokeres did find the back of the net 5 times in this tournament last campaign, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he gets on the scoresheet on Wednesday night.

LW – Eberechi Eze – Christos Tzolis has just come back from a hamstring injury, so it would be too much for him to start for a second time in four days. Eze should get the nod.
