North America has been on the rise on the footballing front. The continent has birthed some of world football's most highly-regarded players, with many catching the eye at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which was hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.

The USA has produced exciting talent over the years, none more so than Christian Pulisic, who has lit up European football, and he's one of many North American natives to have taken to the Premier League.

With players from the Americas earning more recognition globally, their weekly wages have inevitably soared, although just four players from the region sit on wages of over £100,000 per week.

There are familiar names in the top 20 highest-paid stars from North America, but also some surprises. Using Capology and other sources where necessary, we look at who on the land of the prairies is earning top-dollar, with the Premier League featured several times and Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga also represented.

We start the list with Edson Alvarez, who earns £55,000-per-week in the Championship with West Ham United. The Mexican was signed as Declan Rice's replacement in the summer of 2023 but has failed to live up to expectations. United States striker Folarin Balogun earns slightly more than him at Monaco (£56,127-per-week).

In 18th is Chris Richards, who sits on purported wages of £60,000-per-week at Crystal Palace. The 26-year-old American centre-back has been a reliable presence at the back for the Eagles since joining from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 in an £11 million deal.

Junior Firpo of Real Betis is 17th, earning £60,000 every seven days at Real Betis. The Dominican left-back has found game-time hard to come by since joining the La Liga outfit from Leeds United in 2025.

Sergino Dest just misses out on the top 15 after joining PSV Eindhoven in 2024 as a free agent following a Barcelona departure, where he fell out of favour with Hansi Flick's predecessor Xavi. The Dutch-born right-back takes home a cool £63,774 weekly wage at Philips Arena, just less than his United States teammate and Bayer Leverkusen star, Malik Tillman.

Johnny, who plays for Atletico Madrid, and Villarreal full-back Tajon Buchanan both earn £67,841-per-week. Timothy Weah, son of former Ballon d'Or winner George Weah, is paid £74,023 every seven days at Marseille.

AC Milan sealed a £26.7 million deal for Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord in January 2024. The Mexican struggled in Italy, though, scoring just seven goals in two seasons. He is spending the 2026/27 season on loan at Porto, where he earns £78,253-per-week.

Bournemouth have established themselves as a top half Premier League team in recent years, and Tyler Adams has played a key role in their ascent. The United States midfielder, who has been linked with some huge clubs in recent times, including Man Utd and Newcastle, earns £80,000-per-week. That's the same amount as United States teammate Brenden Aaronson, who turns out for Leeds United.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde joined Wolves in a £12.8m deal from Strasbourg in 2023. Bellegarde, who represented Haiti at the 2026 World Cup, put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal worth £85,000-per-week.

Antonee Robinson, who earns £85,000-per-week at Fulham, has been one of the better full-backs in the Premier League in recent years. The 29-year-old has stayed put in west London despite links to bigger clubs.

Hirving Lozano moved from PSV to San Diego for around $12 million (£9.6 million) in January 2025. Currently on loan at LA Galaxy, he's reportedly one of the MLS' highest earners, taking home a reported weekly salary of £87,165.

Weston McKennie cracks the top five, with the 28-year-old earning £87,526-per-week at Juventus. He has played over 200 times for The Old Lady after joining the Italian giants from Schalke 04 in 2021.

The first player to hit weekly wages of £100,000 is Raul Jimenez, who has been a nuisance for opposition defenders for many years. The Mexican returned to Wolves this summer and is trying to score the goals they need to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The poster boy of USA, and perhaps North American football, is Christian Pulisic, who has ripped it up in Italy since joining Milan from Chelsea for €22 million (£18.3 million). 'Captain America' penned a new five-year deal with The Rossoneri in 2026 worth £104,559-per-week, according to Goal.

Jonathan David was given a huge £135,519-per-week deal by Juventus when he joined the club on a free transfer in 2025. He flattered to deceive in Italy, though, and is now spending the 2026/27 season on loan at Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.

There was no chance Alphonso Davies wasn't taking the throne because, at the age of 25, he's already earned the reputation of being one of world football's best-ever attacking full-backs. The Canadian has been at Bayern Munich since January 2019, when he arrived from MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps in a £9.84 million deal.

Davies ended months of speculation over his future in 2025 by signing a new long-term contract with Bayern and taking his salary up to £244,032-per-week at the Allianz Arena. A seven-time Bundesliga winner, the pacey full-back has sped his way to success in Munich and to the top of the highest-earning North American footballers.
