The first UFC event of 2027 is on the books.

With only a handful of cards left this year, details of what's to come as the calendar turns are starting to be revealed.

The 2027 campaign will begin with UFC Fight Night 296 on Jan. 16 in American Airlines Arena in Dallas, the promotion recently announced.

UFC Fight Night 296 in Dallas will mark the return of the octagon to the Texas city for the first time since UFC 277 in July 2022, which was headlined by a women's bantamweight title rematch between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Peña.

No fights have been announced at this time, but UFC play-by-play man Jon Anik said on Saturday's UFC 333 broadcast that details are forthcoming.
