The Los Angeles Chargers currently hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft and we updated our Los Angeles mock draft with an eye on the offense. Quarterback Justin Herbert has struggled this season due in part to the lack of skill players the coaching staff has put around him. So in this mock draft, we load up with a tandem of dynamic receivers and an instant starter on the offensive line.

First round - WR Jeremiah Smith - Ohio State

Smith is far and away the best prospect in this draft and an easy choice for a team that needs playmakers. He immediately becomes the best receiver on the roster and makes Herbert's like better.

Second round - OG Kade Pieper - Iowa

The Chargers run game isn't what it should be and part of that is the lack of physicality on the interior offensive line. Pieper is an absolute mauler at guard and an instant starter.

Third round - DT Tavion Gadson - Kentucky

Gadson is one of the best interior pass rushers in the draft and a significant disruptive force in the middle of the defensive line.

Fourth round - LB Xavier Atkins - Auburn

Atkins is an explosive linebacker who excels as a blitzer and working around the line of scrimmage.

Fourth round - EDGE Taylor Wein - Oklahoma

Wein is a high football acumen edge player who wins with a powerful punch and solid all-around game.

Fourth round - WR T.J. Moore - Clemson

Landing a player like Moore in the fourth round is a steal and gives the Chargers a pair of dynamic rookies who can win on the outside.
