England star Ollie Watkins' wife, Ellie, has fled their new life in Riyadh with the couple's children following a series of deadly missile attacks between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthis.

The 30-year-old made her followers on social media aware, saying: "We've had a bit of a plot twist.

Saudi airports are now running reduced services.

"I felt like I needed to do that for the kids, so there is some form of normality until we can get back out there and all be together," Ellie said.

The 31-year-old striker joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in the summer in a deal worth £51million from Aston Villa.
