Kimi Antonelli won the race in Austin on Sunday, taking the victory for Mercedes at the Circuit of the Americas ahead of Charles Leclerc of Ferrari and Max Verstappen of Red Bull.
Antonelli had topped the timesheet in qualifying the previous day and carried that form into the race, controlling the front of the field to claim the win. Leclerc finished second for Ferrari, with Verstappen third, completing a podium that featured three different teams.
Lewis Hamilton was fourth in the second Ferrari, ahead of Lando Norris, who took fifth for McLaren. Isack Hadjar finished sixth for Red Bull, followed by Norris’s teammate Oscar Piastri in seventh. George Russell, Antonelli’s teammate at Mercedes, was eighth. Liam Lawson was ninth and Pierre Gasly tenth, completing the points-scoring positions.
Nico Hulkenberg was eleventh, ahead of Arvid Lindblad, Esteban Ocon, Gabriel Bortoleto, Lance Stroll, Fernando Alonso, Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz, Sergio Perez, Valtteri Bottas, Franco Colapinto and Oliver Bearman.
For Antonelli, the result adds to a season in which he has been a consistent presence at the front, while Ferrari leaves Austin with two cars in the top four.
