An update to the SEC availability report for Florida football's Week 10 matchup against Oklahoma was released on Friday, with seven still listed for the Gators while a dozen remain for the Sooners.
The biggest change for Jon Sumrall's squad is the downgrading of wide receiver Vernell Brown III from questionable to out for Saturday. Brown will miss his fifth straight game with a grade-1 PCL strain that he suffered against Ole Miss in Week 4; it was re-aggravated ahead of last week's Georgia game.
"So he was not available at practice today," Jon Sumrall said on Monday. "I really don't have a really strong feeling on timeline because everything early in the week last week was trending really positively until the setback on Wednesday. It sucks. It sucks for him. He's working like hell to try to get back. He's frustrated."
Sumrall added what he called his "official VB3 statement":
"He wants to play. He's doing everything he can to play. He's pissed off he can't play, and he's doing everything in his power to play. It's a real injury that we thought we were on the other side of that he had a setback last week, and it sucks. I mean, it freaking sucks for him."
The four others listed as out for the showdown in the Swamp are defensive lineman Jeramiah McCloud, tight end Evan Chieca, offensive lineman Emeka Ugorji and linebacker Jaden Robinson. McCloud is out due to a suspension, according to Swamp247, while Robinson missed his first game of the season last week against Georgia.
"Jeramiah McCloud has been suspended for this week's game against Oklahoma for conduct detrimental to the team. His status with the program will be re-evaluated after this week's contest," per a statement from a program spokesperson.
The good news is that the other two on the availability report — wide receiver Bailey Stockton and defensive lineman Emmanuel Oyebadejo — have been upgraded from questionable to probable. Both players were initially listed as doubtful last week; they ended up playing against Georgia.
Stockton has been dealing with a nagging foot injury but still managed to haul in eight receptions for 76 yards against the Bulldogs. Oyebadejo has been dealing with an ankle injury that caused him to miss a game earlier in the season; he made two solo tackles, including a sack, plus a pass breakup in the Week 9 loss.
Oklahoma has eight players who will not play on Saturday: linebacker Taylor Heim, defensive back Dakoda Fields, wide receiver Trell Harris, linebacker Cole Sullivan, tight end Trynae Washington, defensive back Jacobe Johnson, and offensive linemen Ryan Fodje and Fred Hinton.
Offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis remains listed as doubtful, while defensive back Peyton Bowen is listed as questionable; wide receiver Elijah Thomas and defensive lineman Kenny Ozowalu are listed as probable. Wide receiver Jer'Michael Carter, defensive back Eli Bowen, tight end Rocky Beers and offensive lineman Jake Maikkula are now cleared to play.
