Ex-Chiefs OL sounds off on drama surrounding Colts, QB Daniel Jones

Former Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz sounded off on the latest developments with the Indianapolis Colts and quarterback Daniel Jones ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline.

Indianapolis is in the midst of a fire sale after a 2-6 start to their regular-season campaign, having already dealt star guard Quenton Nelson and defensive lineman DeForest Buckner to the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, respectively.

There have been conflicting reports of Jones' potential availability at the trade deadline, and when NFL insider Tom Pelissero broke news that the Colts were not interested in moving their starting quarterback, Schwartz offered his opinion on Indianapolis' strategy:

While Schwartz seemed confident in his assessment of the situation, it remains unclear whether the Colts are actually interested in trading Jones or not, but early indications are signaling that Indianapolis' work is far from done ahead of the all-important November 10 trade deadline.
