After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Crystal Palace are considering making a change in their dugout after a poor start to the season under Pierre Sage.
The Eagles have had a very slow start to the campaign, failing to win any of their last four games in all competitions, and claiming just two wins from their opening eight Premier League games, leaving them in 17th place, one point above the relegation zone.
Reports recently suggested that the Frenchman had been given two games to save his job at Selhurst Park, and the team then went on to draw 2-2 with Besiktas in the Europa League, before a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Newcastle at home this past weekend.
GIVEMESPORT sources understand that club owner Steve Parish is considering making a change as a result of the poor form so far, with a number of names being considered to replace him.
Thomas Frank, Robbie Keane, Carlos Corberan, Vitor Pereira and Sean Dyche have all been listed as potentnial candidates to come in and help the team, with reports from other outlets stating that former Burnley and Everton boss Dyche is considered to be one of the frontrunners for the role.
Dyche would be keen on a return to Premier League management, having been out of work since a short spell at Nottingham Forest last season.
Palace are currently preparing to take on Fulham on the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, before a trip across the city to take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening. A defeat to Spurs is expected to be the final straw, but Palace must ensure they don't make the wrong choice for the next manager should that situation occur.
Replacing Oliver Glasner during the summer was always going to be difficult after winning the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League in a 12 month period, but Sage has clearly not been the right choice. Getting that wrong again would be a major problem, but it's something they risk doing if they are to appoint Dyche.
Who got more assists?

Dyche has got plenty of experience in the Premier League, and generally you know what you're going to get with his teams. He sets up his teams to be compact defensively, hard to beat, and likes a hard-working team.
But Palace have built a squad that is capable of far more than that, and after the huge steps they took under Glasner to become more progressive, going with Dyche would be taking several steps backwards.
There are a number of managers available who may be a bit more of a gamble, but would undoubtedly show more bravery and fit the ethos of the current squad better, and that is who Palace should be looking at.
If Parish is worried about survival, then Dyche may be the man. But there is so much time remaining in the season, and the squad at Selhurst Park is strong enough that they can string results together with the right person in charge. He should be brave and look to continue Glasner's great work from recent years, rather than play it safe and go backwards.
Dyche would be a big mistake, and Palace cannot afford to get it wrong again.
