With 135 wins at Gillette Stadium, Tom Brady is more than familiar with the home of the New England Patriots.
But this will be a first.
Brady will call a Patriots game for the first time since he became FOX’s lead game analyst in 2024 when New England (5-3) hosts the Green Bay Packers (5-3) on Sunday, Nov. 8.
"It'll be certainly emotional," Brady told Colin Cowherd on “The Herd” Nov. 3. "I mean, every inch of that stadium I've been through so many times, from the locker rooms to the meeting rooms, the fields. I had just so many memorable plays in that stadium. Big games, championship games and rivalry games, division-clinching games.”
Brady won six of his seven Super Bowls with the Patriots. He retired as the NFL’s all-time leader in career passing touchdowns and was inducted into the Patriots’ Hall of Fame in 2024.
“So to be back there and to really understand what that Patriot organization is all about, and to convey that to the fans in a way where I'm not, like, talking about myself. I'm really talking about this awesome program that's been built, and the Patriots just always seem to do things the right way."
Brady was teammates with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel from 2001-08 and won three Super Bowls with him. But Vrabel was not interested in discussing any catching up the two may do before kickoff.
"I'm required contractually to catch up with him at some point," Vrabel told reporters last week. "I'm sure it'll be a Zoom. I'm sure they won't show up here. I'm sure it will be Zoom. So, that's contractually, I'll be talking to him.”
Vrabel expected to see Brady at a different Patriots event before the game — the Patriots Hall of Fame induction of Rob Gronkowski.
“And I'm sure I'll see him at Gronk's induction on Saturday,” Vrabel said.
