The season continues to spiral out of control for the Indianapolis Colts, who lost 42-7 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
With the clock at zero, here are our instant takeaways from the Colts' performance.
- The inability to push the ball downfield has hurt the Colts' offense all season, and it was again evident in this game. Daniel Jones averaged 5.1 yards per pass attempt.
- Jonathan Taylor had just eight carries -- in part because the Colts were playing from behind -- and totaled 23 yards. 19 of those yards came on one run.
- The Colts' losing streak in Jacksonville extends another season.
- Tyler Warren should have caught the ball that ended up being a pick-six, but another poor decision led to Jones second interception. This has been another season-long issue.
- The defense had zero answers. Trevor Lawrence was 10 of 14 passing for 210 yards with three scores. RB Bhayshul Tuten rushed for 104 yards and a score. Big play after big play was surrendered.
- Anthony Richardson took over for Jones in the fourth quarter, but does that mean it's his job moving forward? We will see what Shane Steichen says.
- CJ Allen made his first start and was able to flash, recording a sack and a team-high 10 tackles.
- Way too many penalties on the Colts.
- Jaylahn Tuimoloau led the team in pressures with three and forced a fumble.
- The New York Jets are going to have a really good pick via the Colts in 2027.
- The next GM has to overhaul this roster.
- No surprise, but if you can't run the ball or pass the ball, you're going to struggle on third downs as the Colts did, which means failing to extend drives and put up points. Just a brutal all-around outing for this team.
