The Arizona Cardinals’ offensive struggles continued in Week 7, with a 30-16 loss to the Denver Broncos leaving fans frustrated with quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Arizona has gone just 1-for-10 in the red zone over its last two games, but head coach Mike LaFleur has maintained that Brissett will remain the team’s starter.

That decision has sparked calls for rookie quarterback Carson Beck to get an opportunity.

Fans Want Carson Beck to Replace Jacoby Brissett As Cardinals QB

The veteran quarterback finished his first season in Arizona with 3,366 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. After that season, Arizona reworked the final year of Brissett’s contract, giving him $15.5 million guaranteed for 2026 with incentives that can push the deal to $21 million.

This season, Brissett has amassed 1,600 passing yards on 64.9% completion, 10 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, adding 80 rushing yards and 1 score for the Cardinals, which ranks him No. 23 in PFN’s QB Impact Score with a grade of 70.5.

One fan, who has had enough of Brissett, proposed that Beck has to start the Cardinals’ next game.

“My takeaway from today’s game is that Carson Beck has to start against the Cowboys next week. I can’t take Jacoby hoops anymore I just can’t,” the fan stated.

Cardinals insider Kyle Odegard speculated that the decision may be coming from general manager Monti Ossenfort and owner Michael Bidwill.

“I’m guessing this is coming from above. Monti Ossenfort and Michael Bidwill were the ones who gave Brissett that inane $10M raise after all,” Odegard said.

Another fan suggested that LaFleur was being forced to keep Brissett as his starter.

“I’m full conspiracy that somebody is telling him Jacoby has to stay bro,” the fan opined.

One fan called for Beck to be unleashed amid the Cardinals’ offensive struggles. “It’s Carson Beck time. Enough is enough. Let the kid rip,” the fan posted.

Another fan preferred a lost season just to get rid of Brissett in favor of Beck.

“I don’t care if Carson Beck is a worse Josh Rosen; I’ll take every game the rest of the season with that then with Jacoby I DONT CARE GET HIM OFF MY TEAM PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.” the fan commented.

One fan gave a scathing assessment of the Cardinals’ head coach after his declaration about the QB1 job.

“So our head coach is a puppet,” the fan wrote.

Brissett, who began his college career at Florida before transferring to NC State, was selected No. 91 overall by New England in the 2016 NFL Draft.

He has alternated between starting and backup roles for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders, and a second stint with the Patriots before signing a two-year, $12.5 million contract with the Cardinals last year.

After a stellar college football career with the Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes, Beck was selected No. 65 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. He has been behind Brissett and Gardner Minshew, although LaFleur declined on Monday to state whether the rookie could move up from the No. 3 role against Dallas.
