Detroit Lions All-Pro linebacker Jack Campbell is being treated in hospital after suffering a terrifying neck injury against the Minnesota Vikings.
Campbell was left face down on the turf and motionless after attempting a tackle on Vikings tight end TJ Hockenson in the fourth quarter of the game.
Medics rushed to his aid and he was evaluated by doctors on the field, before being loaded onto a backboard and carted off to a waiting ambulance.
He was then taken to a hospital to be evaluated for a neck injury.
After the game, Lions head coach Dan Campbell - no relation - was unable to give any further information on his star linebacker, telling the media: 'We're thinking about him.'
When the scary incident occurred, Detroit's entire team and most of the coaching staff surrounded the cart before it transported Campbell off the field.

The former Iowa star was drafted by the Lions with the No. 18 overall pick in 2023. Last season, Campbell was an All-Pro selection after becoming the first NFL player in seven years to have 150-plus tackles and at least five sacks and three forced fumbles.
The Lions signed Campbell last May to a four-year contract extension that runs through the 2030 season.
He was one of three key injuries suffered by Lions defenders in the game against the Vikings, with pass rusher DJ Wonnum and safety Brian Branch both suffering concussions.
Detroit did manage to go on and get the win though, eventually running out 19-14 victors against Minnesota, who suffered their first loss of the season.
