Former running back among top Alabama NFL Week 7 standouts

It was another big week for former Alabama players in the NFL, especially those on the Detroit Lions. It's not often that you see multiple players from the same college make such an impact in the same NFL game, but that's what we got this past week in Detroit.

However, it does not just stop with the Lions. Several other former Alabama players played key roles as well across the league.

As we inch closer to the halfway point of the NFL season, here are five standouts from Week 7 among former Alabama players.

Jahmyr Gibbs, Running Back - Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs (0) runs against Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon (25) during the second half at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026.

Jahmyr Gibbs had a big game, topping 100 rushing yards for the second game in a row and third time this season, as the Lions knocked off division rival Green Bay, 20-17. Gibbs finished with 116 rushing yards on 29 carries along with five catches for 27 yards. Gibbs had the fourth-most rushing yards in the league this week.

Jameson Williams, Wide Receiver - Detroit Lions

Jameson Williams had one of his best performances of the season in Week 7 as he helped the Lions knocked off the Packers, 20-17. Williams finished the game with five catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Williams was one of five players this week with multiple receiving touchdowns.

Henry To'oTo'o, Linebacker - Houston Texans

While frustrations mount for the Texans following a 27-21 loss to the Giants, Henry To'oTo'o filled up the stat sheet defensively for Houston this week. He finished with 10 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and two tackles-for-loss. This was his second game back from injury.

Brian Branch, Safety - Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions defensive back Brian Branch intercepts a pass intended for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson during the second half at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026.

In his return from a torn achilles suffered late last season, Brian Branch instantly made an impact in helping the Lions defeat the Packers, 20-17. Branch finished with four tackles and a fourth quarter interception.
