Ipswich Town manager Gary O’Neil yet to decide if Sasa Lukic will feature in Premier League fixture at Hull City after missing matches against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest through injury

Ipswich Town manager Gary O’Neil has conceded that he has a ‘big call’ to make regarding Sasa Lukic’s potential involvement during tomorrow’s Premier League fixture away at Hull City.

The midfielder, who joined the Tractor Boys from Fulham during the summer, has missed the last two matches against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest with a groin injury.

Lukic did return to training at Town’s Playford Road base earlier this week, but O’Neil has admitted that caution is needed with the 30-year-old.

He said: “He was on the grass today. He looked good, to be fair, so we'll make a call on Sasa tomorrow.

“He’s an important player for us. We've missed him a lot in the last few weeks. He’s had a little bit of a groin injury that has taken some time.

“We've been careful with him, we’ve tried to manage the situation well. Let's see tomorrow.

“I've got a big call to make on that one because I'd love to have him in the starting XI for us, but we need to make the right call.”

Aside from the decision over Lukic, O’Neil has the luxury of a fully fit squad to select from at the MKM Stadium.
