South Korean journalist Joel Kim has reacted to footage that he came across of Minsu Kim following Rangers’ win over Aberdeen.
Minsu played 65 minutes of the game before being taken off for Djeidi Gassama in the second half of the contest.
The 20-year-old has yet to score or assist since his £8.5m move to Ibrox in the summer from Girona.
Joel Kim reacted to footage shared by Rangers on Instagram that showed a number of players walking off the pitch, celebrating a Premier Sports Cup semi-final victory. However, he spotted that Minsu’s reaction was not quite in line with the rest of his teammates.
He stated that just glancing at the camera and then looking away is not like the 20-year-old, who was upset with his performance. Joel stated that the attacking midfielder felt that he let down everyone with his display.
He took to X to write: “Breaks my heart. While all the players greet the camera, Kim Min-su glances at the camera and quickly looks away and walks off
“Not like him. He’s so disappointed in himself and he probably feels he’s let down everyone.”

Minsu is only a 20-year-old who has the weight on his shoulders of a big-money signing. He will have known that the Gers do not shell out such money on players unless they are confident about their ability to deliver.
However, McInnes is a veteran of the game and will know that youngsters take a while to adapt to new surroundings. Not only the language, but the lifestyle, culture, as well as style of play are different from what Minsu is used to.
In Spain, it was a slower and more technical game, and he will surely feel that things are more fast-paced and physical in Scotland. McInnes will keep the faith in him and monitor his minutes so as to not overburden him with responsibilities.
