Which past Jets coach candidates could be in play to replace Aaron Glenn

Two years ago at this time, the Jets were just about to begin a wide-ranging search for a new coach.

They had fired Robert Saleh five games into the 2024 season, and late in November they hired The 33rd Team, the consultancy led by former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum and former Jets advisor Rick Spielman, to help them conduct their search for a new coach and general manager.

The Jets ended up casting a wide net, interviewing 15 people for the head coach position before hiring Aaron Glenn. Two years later, Woody Johnson may be looking for a new head coach. The Jets are 2-6, and it feels as if Glenn is a Dead Coach Walking.

It feels like a good time to look back at the other 14 men who interviewed for the job and whether they could be candidates again if the Jets decide to make a change at head coach.
