The Stourbridge-born footballer, who joined the Spanish club from Borussia Dortmund in 2023, has agreed to extend his stay until June 2031, according to Spanish outlet AS.

His previous deal was set to expire in 2029, but both parties were keen to secure his long-term future in Madrid.

Negotiations began towards the end of last season, with the England international said to be increasingly settled in Spain.

He now speaks the language relatively strongly, often giving interviews and seen communicating in Spanish.

Bellingham has quickly become a key figure in Real Madrid’s first team, helping them to win both a La Liga title and the Champions League.

He has scored 49 goals in 150 appearances across all competitions, and has since helped England to both a Euros final and a World Cup semi-final.

Although he struggled with a shoulder injury last year that required surgery and side-lined him for several weeks, Bellingham returned to form late in the season.

He carried that momentum into the World Cup, scoring seven goals in seven starts and helping England secure a third-place finish.

He has also started the 2026-27 season strongly under new manager Jose Mourinho, with six direct goal contributions in nine starts.

It remains to be seen if Jude will return to England and play in the Premier League.
