The Linnets were drawn against Stourbridge in Monday lunchtime’s draw. The match is one of 40 that are scheduled to be played on the weekend of Saturday November 14.
Stourbridge beat Rushall and, on Saturday, Loughborough Students to reach this stage of the competition, while Lynn automatically qualify for the second round.
The Glassboys are currently 12th in the Southern League Premier Division Central table.
The last time the teams met was in the same competition in 2023-24, when Lynn were beaten 2-1 at Stourbridge in the second round.
Their last league meeting was in April 2019, when two Adam Marriott goals sealed a 2-1 win in the west Midlands and earned the Linnets second spot in the table and home advantage in the play-offs – a season which ended in promotion to the National League North after the Super play-off final win at Warrington.
This time, the winners will £3,750 from the competition prize fund, while losing teams take away £1,000.
