England have officially called up eight Manchester United players for their November fixtures, continuing the club’s proud history of supplying talent to the national team.
United have produced some of England’s most influential international footballers, with their contributions stretching back decades.
Sir Bobby Charlton and Nobby Stiles helped England win the 1966 World Cup, while subsequent generations have carried the club’s influence onto the biggest stages.
At the 2022 World Cup, Marcus Rashford scored three goals in Qatar, including twice against Wales, while Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw featured prominently.
Two years later, Kobbie Mainoo and Shaw both started England’s Euro 2024 final against Spain, although Gareth Southgate’s side suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat.
In 2026, Thomas Tuchel called up Mainoo and Rashford as the Three Lions finished third at the World Cup.
International football is entering another era, with former United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo officially announcing his retirement from Portugal duty this week.
Back at Old Trafford, Michael Carrick’s side secured an extraordinary 3-2 Champions League comeback against AS Roma on Tuesday, ending a nine-match winless run.
That dramatic victory also showcased the talent coming through United’s ranks.
Now, the Football Association has confirmed eight further selections ahead of November’s international matches.
According to England’s official website, five United players have been included in Darren Moore’s under-20 squad: Harry Amass, Ayden Heaven, Jack Fletcher, Jim Thwaites and Shea Lacey.
They will face Czechia on 12 November before travelling to Portugal on 16 November.
Lacey arrives in particularly impressive form after assisting Matheus Cunha’s dramatic winner against Roma.
The winger’s incisive pass helped complete United’s comeback, making him the youngest Red to assist a Champions League winning goal at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Yuel Helafu, Albert Mills and Tynan Thompson have been named in Ben Futcher’s under-19 squad.
They face Slovenia, Belarus and Austria between 11 and 17 November in European Championship qualifying.
The selections highlight United’s growing representation across England’s international setup.
