Tyson Fury has unveiled his sparring partners as he prepares to box Anthony Joshua, with familiar faces in tow.

Fury and Joshua will finally square off on 11 December, after nearly a decade of calls for the heavyweight fight to be made. The Britons will meet at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with the bout streaming live on Netflix.

In preparation for the grudge match, Fury has enlisted the help of compatriot Joe Joyce, controversial US star Jarrell Miller, and Russia’s Aleksei Dronov.

Fury, 38, shared an AI image of the trio alongside himself and coach Sugarhill Steward, with every one of them in Viking gear.

“Clan war lords instead of spartans, we coming dec 11,” Fury wrote on Thursday.

British fans may know Joyce for his fights with Daniel Dubois, Derek Chisora, Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.

The Olympic silver medalist handed Dubois the first loss of his career, stopping him in 2020 before doing the same to Parker two years later. However, those wins gave way to back-to-back KOs by Zhang, and a points loss to Chisora later.

Meanwhile, Miller was famously due to box Joshua in the latter’s US debut in 2019, only to be pulled from the fight after failing a drug test. “AJ” went on to be knocked out by Andy Ruiz Jr. Miller, who failed another test in 2020, suffered a late stoppage by Dubois in 2023 and battled Ruiz to a draw the following year.

And Dronov is the least known of Fury’s training partners, a former gold medalist at the youth Olympics and amateur youth world championships. The Russian, 24, is 12-0 as a professional with 10 KOs.
