Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has started six games so far in 2026. Four have been stellar, one was mediocre and his latest was the first bad offering of the campaign.
As you might expect, Sunday's 43-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers put a dent in Young's numbers. For the first time this season, he's surrendered his lead in passing yards, with Detroit's Jared Goff now taking over the top spot in the NFL.
Young's advanced stats have also dropped from the top-10 range to the middle of the pack, while his completion rate is now near the bottom of the league.
Here's where Young ranks in several important passing stats going into Week 8 . . .
Completion rate: 59.2 percent (29th)
Passing yards: 1,712 (10th)
Passing yards per game: 285.3 (second)
First downs: 81 (11th)
Yards per attempt: 7.5 (tied for 11th)
Passing touchdowns: 12 (12th)
20+ yard passes: 22 (tied for sixth)
Passer rating: 92.9 (16th)
QBR: 63.8 (14th)
EPA/play: 0.112 (16th)
Success rate: 45.0 percent (22nd)
CPOE: 0.7 percent (16th)
Air yards: 9.0 (eighth)
If you're looking for relief, it's not likely to come the next couple of weeks.
Next up, Young will face the Green Bay Packers—who rank ninth against the pass, allowing just 208.0 yards per game. After that, Young will face the elite Denver Broncos defense in Week 9.
