The Chicago Bears got a massive 30-24 win over the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football in Week 7, and the game delivered more than just a thriller. It delivered in viewers.
Prime Video announced that the Bears-Patriots game averaged 19.86 million viewers, which is the second most-watched Thursday Night Football game on Prime ever, just behind last season's Christmas night game between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs (21.1 million).
Prime said the Bears vs. Patriots game is the most-watched Week 7 game on record across the history of Thursday Night Football, which beat the previous mark set back in 2015.
One of the biggest draws of the game was the battle between former No. 1 pick Caleb Williams and No. 3 pick Drake Maye, who headline the 2024 quarterback draft class. And they certainly didn't disappoint in their second head-to-head meeting. Williams completed 22-of-33 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns while Maye completed 24-of-31 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns and an interception. He also added a rushing score.
The Bears and Patriots were both 4-2 heading into this prime-time game, and it was Chicago who emerged victorious with a crucial win to improve to 5-2 as they look to stay in contention in a competitive NFC North division.
