The facility, located at Rickmansworth Golf Course opposite the clubhouse on the Par 3 and Footgolf course, was launched over the weekend with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from Three Rivers District Council.

Designed to make golf more accessible and enjoyable, each bay is equipped with Toptracer ball-tracking technology, integrated ball management, and lighting systems.

John Sewell, area contract manager at Everyone Active, said: "It’s fantastic to see the new GolfPod officially open at Rickmansworth Golf Course.

"The course already offers a great range of ways to enjoy the sport, from our 18-hole and Par 3 courses to Footgolf, and the GolfPod adds something different to that mix. We’re looking forward to welcoming people to come and try it out."

The GolfPod is suitable for all ages and abilities, offering a mix of interactive games, coaching programmes, and practice tools for both beginners and experienced players. Sessions start at £5 for 30 balls, £9 for 60 balls, and £13 for 100 balls, with sessions available daily.

Mike Stone, managing director of GolfPod, said: "We’re delighted to bring GolfPod to Rickmansworth in partnership with Everyone Active. The success of our sites in Basildon and Cranham has shown us how much interest there is in making golf more accessible and enjoyable for local communities.

"Our aim is to welcome everyone, whether they’re regular golfers, picking up a club for the first time or spending time with family and friends. We’re looking forward to showing the local community what GolfPod has to offer."

This is the third GolfPod location, following installations at Cranham Golf Course and Basildon Sporting Village.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, Three Rivers District Council’s lead member for leisure, said: "What a great addition to Rickmansworth Golf Course GolfPod is. This new innovation means more people get to enjoy golf in an accessible environment with all the benefits that brings. Whatever your golfing standard – a beginner or an experienced player – this has something for everyone."

Rickmansworth Golf Course also features an 18-hole course, nine-hole Par 3, Footgolf, and a clubhouse with food and drink.

The course is managed by Everyone Active on behalf of Three Rivers District Council. More information is available at everyonegolf.com/venues/rickmansworth-golf-course.
