In recent years, Juventus have made several attempts to sign Fikayo Tomori, but a deal has never been completed with AC Milan.
It is difficult to think of a club that has paid more attention to Tomori than Juventus in recent years. For the past however many windows, it feels like the Bianconeri have been at the door, looking to sign the Englishman. Yet, a deal has never been completed for whatever reason.
The defender has never expressed a desire to leave, even in the summer when he was cast aside. So, it’s made selling him a particularly tough task for Milan, who have been open to his departure for a while now.
In the next few months, they’ll be forced to make a decision, with Tomori’s deal expiring in the summer. So, he could officially sign for a new club in February as the free agent mercato reopens.
Juventus, though, could move earlier than that. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Gleison Bremer could leave Turin and if he did, Tomori would be the first option who they’d attempt to sign, as MilanVibes relays.
A defensive signing from the Diavolo is expected in the mercato, so it could help with their own pursuit. But Matteo Gabbia’s injury would mean that they’d still be short if Tomori were to be swapped for Goncalo Inacio, for example.
The Englishman, as of right now, would prefer to stay at San Siro, despite the difficulties experienced this year. However, a departure is certainly possible, with no talk of a renewal currently…
