Silsden hit eight as Skipton Firsts continue winning run

They defeated Brayton Belles 4-0, with Izzy Armstrong scoring twice alongside Taylor Orchard and Darcey Burrell.

Their win was part of a successful weekend for Skipton, as their development team also came from behind to beat Halifax Friendly Lionesses 6-1.

The weekend saw Queensbury Celtic secure a 3-1 win against Guiseley Lionesses Development, with goals from Jess Walker, Lily Greenwood, and Katie Whyatt.

This victory keeps the team in second place in the WRCWFL Division Four.

Calverley United also showed strong form in the WRCWFL Five, defeating Leeds Hyde Park Blue 3-0.

The Owls were led by Abbie Tate, who scored within the first 10 minutes, followed by goals from Becca Ogden and Sarah Binns.

Silsden Juniors impressed with an 8-1 win over Horsforth St Margaret's, propelling them to third in the Premier Division.

Macy Plunkett scored her first-ever senior hat-trick, while Sophie Hawkins netted a further three goals.

However, Wyke Wanderers faced a tough match away to WRCWFL leaders Leeds Medics & Dentists, ending up with a 2-0 defeat.

Lou Molinari, on her return to the squad, was named player of the match.

The FA Women's National League (FAWNL) Northern Premier Division saw Huddersfield Town return to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough FC.

Leeds United's top-of-the-table clash with AFC Fylde in Division One North ended goalless.

This enabled Halifax FC to move up to second after a 6-0 win against Thornaby, with Farah Crompton completing a hat-trick of hat-tricks in her last three games.

In the Yorkshire League, Bradford Schools' under-14s claimed an 8-1 victory against a spirited York side, moving them up to second place.

The girls made an impressive start with two goals inside the first 10 minutes and continued to create opportunities throughout the match.

York, a new squad this season, battled valiantly and created chances but were ultimately outperformed by Bradford.

The weekend's results reflect the competitive nature of the West Riding County Women's Football League and the FA Women's National League, with many teams showcasing their strength and skill on the field.

Fans of women's football will be eagerly anticipating the next round of matches as the race for the top positions continues.
